⌂ HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE THE DESIGN STYLE OF IVORY HOUSE?
At Ivory House, we don’t subscribe to one specific style. While every design is inspired by the beauty of the Napa Valley Lifestyle, we work with many different styles and various combinations of them. Our work most often falls into the traditional, contemporary, transitional, and classical categories. From light and airy spaces to moody and darker tones, we enjoy developing designs unique to your tastes and needs. WE DO ASK THAT OUR CLIENTS ARE FAMILIAR WITH OUR WORK AND PREVIOUS DESIGNS BEFORE PURCHASING A PACKAGE TO ENSURE THAT WE ARE A GREAT FIT!
⌂ HOW DO I KNOW WHAT PACKAGE IS RIGHT FOR ME?
We offer the following three design packages:
Remote 3D Design Package: Visualize your newly designed space with a 3D rendering displaying all of our furniture and décor selections. This ensures that you will be completely in love with all aspects of the design before bringing it to life within your home.
2D Remote Design Board Package: All of the furniture & décor selections for your newly designed space displayed on one board to ensure that you are ready to bring the design to life in your home.
Mini Remote 2D Design Board: Perfect for feature walls, fireplaces or rooms that need a few finishing touches to pull the space together, but not a comprehensive room design. Let us finish off the space for you! We will add a professional cohesive touch while helping you visualize the design in the process.

⌂ CAN I SECRUE A REMOTE DESIGN PACKAGE FOR MY NEW BUILD?
Yes, we are happy to work with your builder and their schedule. Finish, pluming fixtures, and lighting selections are typically a priority and we will work to provide those decisions to your contractor according to the agreed upon timeline. We hope to simplify the sometimes-overwhelming process of building so that you can enjoy your knew home as it comes together. We look forward to making a beautiful space for you and your family to enjoy in years to come.
⌂ I HAVE AN OPEN FLOOR PLAN MAIN CONCEPT, HOW MANY PACKAGES DO I NEED?
A design package will need to be purchased for each room within the open concept that you’d like to have us design. We will ensure a cohesive concept throughout the entire open space while providing well-defined designs for each individual room.
⌂ WHY WORK WITH IVORY HOUSE RATHER THAN THE LARGER “BIG-BOX” ONLINE DESIGN SERVICES?
Ivory House combines accessible pricing with our unique luxury design aesthetic. At Ivory House we believe that the most important element of the design is that it reflects your unique personality. This quality is often lost in the designs of larger online design companies which have go-to suppliers with little variation in style. Our clients already know and love our Napa Valley inspired design aesthetic and can feel confident in knowing they will love the designs we generate.
⌂ HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS?
Standard communication takes place in our online design portal. This is where you will view designs, approve or reject products, leave comments, and message our team. Scheduled phone calls can be reserved with your designer if needed. Our typical design hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am and 5pm PST.
⌂ HOW DO I COMPLETE THE DESIGN QUESTIONNAIRE? WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?
Immediately after you purchase a package you will be prompted to complete the questionnaire or you can come back and complete it at a later time. On the questionnaire, you will input the measurements & photos of each wall (We provided step-by-step instructions to make this part as easy as possible!) You will then answer questions about the space including any items you would like to stay in the room, any new items you already have in mind and would like to see in the design, your design timeline, favorite online stores and budget range. You will then select from pictures of various design styles that you are drawn to for the space. You will also have the opportunity to link any Pinterest boards or phots that we can us for inspiration.
⌂ HOW DO I KNOW I WILL BE HAPPY WITH THE DESIGN?
Ivory House has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We will revise every part of the room/space until you are completely happy and ready to purchase the items. We are completely happy and ready to purchase the items. We are happy to make unlimited revisions for you within the 5 business days for receiving your design. Because of this revision policy, we do not offer refunds once the design phase has been started. There is not a limit revisions with Ivory House as long as they are completed within the allotted revision time frame, so you are guaranteed to be completely happy with the finished space. After the first design draft is submitted, you will go through and "approve" items you love and "reject" items you do not love. You are able to easily leave comments on items (this is encourage if you "reject" an item) and we also will have a chat section for ease of communication between us throughout the entire process. This process ensures that you will ultimately have a room that you love!
⌂ WHAT ARE YOUR TURN AROUND TIMES?
Our typical turn around time for the initial design concept is about 2-4 weeks. Once we provide the initial design concept, we begin the revision and approval process which moves very quickly.
⌂ CAN YOU WORK WITHIN ANY BUDGET?
A budget of at least $10,000 is required when designing a full room to ensure that we are able to make the best design recommendations for your space. A comfortable budget for an entire room (inclusive of all furniture and décor pieces) is $10,000-$20,000. At Ivory House, our 2D & 3D room designs include wall-décor, furniture, lighting, rugs, and table-top décor. Because of this, we recommend a budget that allows for a cohesive design.
If you do select a lower budget range on the questionnaire, we will do our best to keep this in mind while designing but may go slightly over to ensure quality products in your your designs that we stand behind.
⌂ WHAT KIND OF ONLINE BRANDS DO YOU SOURCE FROM?
Coinciding with our Napa Valley inspired aesthetic (along with the wonderful quality and policies of these brands) some of our most frequently used brands are: Pottery Barn, McGee & Co, Serena and Lily, Crate & Barrel, Arhaus, Shoppe Amber Interiors, Anthropology, Burke Décor, Lulu & Georgia, West Elm, One Kings Lane, Alice Lane Home Collection, and Pure Salt.

⌂ WHAT IF ITEMS GO OUT OF STOCK AFTER I RECEIVE MY DESIGN?
Due to the nature of online shopping, there is a sell out risk for items. We do our best to ensure that our designs use in-stock items. Clients are encouraged to purchase items immediately after design approval and finalization, as items can go out of stock. After the 5 day revision period, we provide a 10 day period for purchasing. If a product goes out of stock after the 10 day purchasing period, we charge a $50/item resourcing fee.
⌂ WHAT IF I AM NOT HAPPY WITH AN ITEM ONCE I RECEIVE IT IN PERSON?
The nature of online purchasing is that there is always a risk the item may look different than advertised online or in our design board. For this reason, all standard retail items in a design will be from reputable retailers that provide easy return or replacement processes. We are happy to help you navigate this process if an item does not arrive as expected. Return policies vary from item to item when opting for a to-the-trade product. For this reason, Ivory House will only specify products that we have personally seen in showrooms.
⌂ I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP SOME OF MY CURRENT FURNITURE. CAN YOU INCORPORATE IT INTO YOUR DESIGN?
Yes, we are happy to work with your current furniture and décor items. We ask that you provide a link to the piece if possible or a few quality photos as well as overall measurements. You can provide this information on the design questionnaire that you will complete.
⌂ HOW DOES SELECTING PAINT COLORS WORK WITH VIRTUAL DESIGN?
We provide paint and stain selections that are cohesive with your design. However, because of the nature of paint, unique lighting conditions, and even the texture of your walls, we highly recommend testing paint and stain samples in your space. Please view these samples at various times of day and along side your other finish samples such as tile, flooring, etc. Samples sizes can often be purchased from a local paint retailer or you can order peel-and-stick samples through samplize.com.
⌂ WILL YOUR 3D REPLICA OF MY ROOM BE EXACT? CAN I SEE IT FROM MULTIPLE ANGLES?
We provide one accurate rendering of your space in our 3D package. We take into account the scale of each furniture piece and attempt to include as much detail as possible. If another view of the space is needed to display our design, we will include an additional rendering or 2D mood board as needed at no additional cost. Our goal is to provide you with a representation of the room we are designing so that you can get a feel for the space.
⌂ HOW DO I BEST MEASURE MY ROOM/SPACE?
We will provide you with a room measurement guide with step-by-step instructions on how to accurately measure the space. You will then send this information to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
⌂ ARE THERE ANY ROOMS YOU DO NOT DESIGN?
We do not currently offer 3D room designs for kitchens or bathrooms. These spaces often require coordination and collaboration between various trades and professionals, as well as permitting with local municipalities. we are happy to provide a 2D vision board for these spaces to create an aesthetic for the space, but full space planning and design documentation should be provided by an on-site design professional.
